In Ben Ami's work, there are borderline values that make one deeply concerned. With this insight into the reverse side of an artistic wisdom, the Kunsthalle St.Gallen is making a contribution to current art that one would not expect. The encounter with the works of the 81-year-old opens up new dimensions of a painterly passion. The targeted selection of the Kunsthalle St.Gallen shows a rather unknown side of an artist who finally settled in St.Gallen 57 years ago.

Ben Ami (1897, Warsaw/RU – 1995, St.Gallen/CH) was a painter, draughtsman, architect and graphic artist.
